Events
The veterinarians at Northwest Equine have been involved in facilitating and lecturing in many educational seminars and groups discussions for horse owners, clubs, barns, and veterinary and other horse professional group meetings involving a variety of equine topics. If you are interested in having one of our expert veterinarians speak to your group please contact us for further discussion and arrangements. We will be glad to be involved in group’s activities! A few popular topics are:
- Equine colic – What is it? How to prevent it? What to do when it happens?
- Neonates and foals – How to prepare for our new foal? What should happen during a normal foaling? What is not normal and when to call the vet? What are foals supposed to do during their first few hours of life and how can you help?
- Laminitis and foundering – What is it? Why does it happen? How to treat and manage? How to prevent it from re-occurring?
- “Equine Cushing’s Disease” – What is it? Why does laminitis happen with it? How do we manage it? My horse’s Cushing’s is out of control… What can I do?
